Oyster trestles barely visible above the rippling waters
Undulating hills spread across the horizon
Restful animals as they lie content in the grassy fields.
Thank you, God
Clouds of different shapes float unhurried overhead
Outside, the smell of freshly mown grass
Moving under the blade of the mower
Musical bird song as they gather on the wire planning their journey of migration
Occasionally, a solitary butterfly flits from fuchsia to dahlia
Noise of traffic as living goes on.
Thank you, God
Hedgerows ripe with the fruits of Autumn
Only the faintest sway of the branches in the morning breeze
Mirror of God in the wonder of creation
Everything a reflection of His majesty.
Thank you God
