‘Dilexit Nos’ - Devotion to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus

On 24 October 2024 the Vatican released the latest encyclical, Dilexit Nos, from Pope Francis, on the human and divine love of the heart of Jesus Christ. Encyclicals are letters from the Pope on issues relevant to all Catholics. They are written in the light of the Gospel and the Tradition of the Church. The words “Dilexit Nos” are the title and first words of the letter. “He loved us.” They are a reference to Romans 8:37 in which Saint Paul says, ‘Christ loved us.’ These resources are designed to help schools and families strengthen their devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Further resources will be added throughout the year.
