Celebrating Holy Week at Home

Published: April 3, 2020

Holy Week is the most sacred, special and important week of the year.

Travel with Jesus through Holy Week

Journey together as a family through the events of Holy Week.

Sing Hosanna with Jesus as he enters into Jerusalem on a donkey, share a meal with him at the Last Supper with his apostles.

Walk with him and comfort him on the Way of the Cross on Good Friday.

Wait at the Tomb on Holy Saturday and rejoice at his rising from the dead, on Easter Sunday.

We Journey with Jesus Activity Sheet

A simple activity to help children understand that their life, through Baptism, is a journey with their friend Jesus, to God the Father.

Create a Sacred Space at Home

A sacred space in the home helps us to find the sacred space inside of us where we can talk to God and listen to God. This will help you create your own Holy Week Sacred Space.

How to create a Sacred Space at home

Why not ask an adult to email a picture of your sacred space to us and we will display them here on this website!

Share with us

Share your photos of your Holy Week Sacred Space: ddcc@derrydiocese.org or post them on social media – remember to include @DerryDiocesanCC on Facebook or @derrydiocese on Twitter so we can share them!
