Kilian: An Irish-German Saint

Kilian was a 7th century missionary priest who was born in County Cavan, Ireland.  He was the apostle to Franconia, which is today known as Bavaria.  He preached the gospel in Wurzburg and converted the local Duke and much of the population. He was martyred by beheading.
