Damien of Molokai – The Leper Priest

Leprosy used to be a death sentence.  When people contacted this infectious disease they were banished from their families, homes and society to live in isolation or in leper colonies.   Read about Father Damien, a Belgian priest who dedicated his life to caring for those who were abandoned.  He was the ‘voice of the voiceless.’
