Guided Meditation – Simon of Cyrene Carries the Cross of Jesus

Published: March 24, 2021

Guided meditation is offered within the context of Christian mindfulness. Briefly, Christian mindfulness is being aware of, and alert to, the constant presence of God in our lives. This awareness comes about through our joyful and open experience of the created world around us in all its diversity and beauty, its mystery and its oneness with us; through our inner experience of the truth and light at the core of our being, that which Thomas Merton calls, “the bright diamond of light”; through the wonder of sitting in silence, which is a prayer in itself, and which allows us to rest peacefully in God.
